Hope

Can hope be found in the world today?

The Bible tells us,

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17

Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

If not, what is your hope for the future?

Does fear control your life?

Are you looking for peace, or purpose in your life?

God's way of Salvation

Do I need to be saved?

  1. God is holy. No sin will ever enter His presences, for "Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne." Psalm 97:2 2. Man is sinful. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23 3. Sin separates man from God. "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:2 4. It is impossible for man to save himself. "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." Romans 3:20
  2. Can I be saved? God sent His Son to be your Savior. "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:10 2. The living Savior invites sinners to receive Him. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
  3. Forgiveness of sins and salvation can be yours today. "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" 1 Peter 3:18
  4. How can I be saved?

  • Agree with God that you are a lost sinner unable to save yourself. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and ask Him to be your Savior. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12
  • Confess the Lord Jesus Christ before men. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." John 5:24

  1. Are you a sinner?
  2. Do you want forgiveness for your sins?
  3. Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?
  4. Are you willing to surrender your life to Christ?
  5. Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life and into your heart?

If you answered yes to these 5 questions, you can ask for forgiveness right now with this simple prayer... Heavenly Father, I have sinned against You. I want forgiveness for all my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me and rose again. Father, I give You my life to do with as You wish. I want Jesus Christ to come into my life and into my heart. This I ask in Jesus' name. If you have just prayed this simple prayer for the first time, and you meant it in your heart, then attend a local church and let them know of your decision.
